Prior to my final log-in (scheduled for November 12 at 22:30), I might still answer questions as I try to tie up whatever loose ends I can think of. After that it will all be out of my hands. Dmetric (talk) 23:13, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have logged in for the last time. Whatever I have left unfinished can be taken care of by anyone who knows their way around books. I will answer nothing on this talk page after today. Dmetric (talk) 17:33, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Dmetric! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Barry Cooper (musicologist) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

About WP:1729

[edit]

After reading WP:1729, I found that "2 is a number that equals 2" this property is interesting:

  1. Start with 999,999 points.
  2. Of course not, -1 points.
  3. 1st, -2 points.
  4. -2-2*2+3+4+5+...+16=127 points.
  5. NO.
  6. Question skipped.
  7. 127 points, "2 is a number that equals 2" this property is interesting.

This property wouldn't be false in base 2 because 210 (represented as 102) would still be equal to itself. So the total score would be -2 points, which means that this property is not interesting (of course). Double sharp (talk) 12:55, 4 February 2012 (UTC) (talk page stalker)[reply]
I don't mean equal to itself, I just mean equal to 2.--Kc kennylau (talk) 05:39, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
210 (represented as 102) would still be equal to 2 (I assume you mean the number denoted by 210). Double sharp (talk) 10:35, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I mean equals to 2 this Unicode!--Kc kennylau (talk) 23:39, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Doesn't the Unicode character 2 represent the same number as that represented by 210? Double sharp (talk) 06:42, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I mean 2 this character/unicode/object/matter/anything!--Kc kennylau (talk) 09:31, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
2 is a symbol for the number that can also be written as 1 + 1, √4, 210, 102, etc. So the number 2 still equals the value represented by the symbol "2" in any base. Double sharp (talk) 14:34, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I lose.--Kc kennylau (talk) 14:39, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Don't take it too personally. This happens all the time to all of us. Double sharp (talk) 15:22, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
